Meet the Designer
How it Started
I Didn't Plan to Be a Web Designer. But It Makes Complete Sense That I Am.
My path into web design started the way the best things usually do, unexpectedly.
In 2020, a friend passed along a referral. I had just completed my certificate program in web development and honestly wasn't sure I was ready. I didn't have formal design training. I didn't have a portfolio. What I did have was a deep instinct for listening, an eye for clarity, and a genuine desire to make someone feel like their vision had been heard and honored.
The project went well. Really well. And I've been building websites by referral ever since.
“I have nothing but thanks and gratitude to give to Shantell and the work she has done for me! I was referred to her site, Artfully Coded by a mentor who used her too, and I can see that Shantell delivers consistently superior quality websites! Before her, I thought my site was good, but then when I knew I needed a professional and worked with her, I realized my site was elementary in comparison. She elevated my site in its beauty and functionality. She knew what to do with little to no real direction from me and any feedback that was provided throughout the process she understood instantly and made the corrections or changed what was needed instantly. Even though my site is now complete, I feel I will still work with her any chance I can! She's amazing and you won't regret choosing her for your site development either!
Thank you again for everything!”

The Moment Everything Clicked
The moment I truly started calling myself a web designer came through a woman named Karen.
Karen is a Reiki Master Teacher and community builder who had tried working with other designers and kept walking away feeling unseen. When we started working together, something different happened. We didn't just build a website. We rebuilt her brand, designed her merchandise, and created something that finally felt like her.
Her words stayed with me: "You totally get me, my practice, and my vision."
That moment changed everything. Not just because the project was successful, but because I realized what I was actually offering wasn't just design. It was the experience of being truly understood. Of having someone hold space for your vision until it became something real.
Shortly after, Karen became more than a client. She became a friend and a teacher. Today I am also a Reiki practitioner — which tells you everything you need to know about how I show up for the people I work with.
How I Show Up.
By day I work in healthcare in an administrative and case management capacity. I have spent years supporting people through complex, overwhelming systems — making sure they feel cared for, guided, and never alone in the process.
That is exactly how I approach web design.
My clients are coaches, healers, and creatives — people doing meaningful work in the world who deserve an online presence that reflects that meaning. I understand your world not just as a designer, but as someone who lives in it. I speak your language. I honor your process. And I know how to translate what you do into something a stranger on the internet can immediately understand and trust.
A Little More About Me
Outside of client work I am a forever student of history, esoteric arts, world religions, and music. All of it feeds my understanding of people — how we heal, how we express ourselves, and what makes us feel truly seen.
Fair warning: at any given moment I may break into song and a little shoulder shimmy. It's become something of a signature move.
I believe that great design is really just great listening with a visual outcome. And I believe that you — yes, you, the one who has been putting off your website because nothing has felt quite right yet — deserve someone who will sit with your vision until it finally does.
